These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website bioflo.in, our proprietary engineering web applications, and professional simulation consultancy services operated by BioFlo (“BioFlo”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Engineering & Simulation Services
BioFlo provides specialized bioprocess engineering consultations, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modeling, bioreactor scale-up validation, and web-based biocalculation tools.
- Consulting Deliverables: Simulation models, mesh files, hydrodynamic reports, and scale-up recommendations are generated based on client-provided vessel specifications and process data.
- Scientific Accuracy: While BioFlo applies industry-standard numerical algorithms (Eulerian-Eulerian multiphase physics, k-ε turbulence closures, and validated empirical correlations), simulation outputs represent numerical predictions intended to guide engineering decisions.
- Client Verification: Final physical equipment fabrication, mechanical integrity, pressure ratings, and pilot-plant safety remain the responsibility of the client.
2. Web Applications & Scientific Calculators
BioFlo offers web-based tools including BioCalc, kLa Predictor, Mixing Time Calculator, PetriPlate AI, and citation tools for research and educational purposes.
- Tools are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of uninterrupted availability.
- Calculations generated through public web interfaces must be independently reviewed and verified by qualified biochemical engineers before deployment in commercial manufacturing.
3. Intellectual Property & Confidentiality
All content, proprietary software, calculator algorithms, branding, and website architecture are the exclusive property of BioFlo. Client proprietary bioprocess data, formulations, and proprietary vessel CAD geometries shared with BioFlo under engineering agreements are held strictly confidential and protected by Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs).
4. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BioFlo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, biological batch contamination, or equipment downtime arising out of the use of our website, web tools, or consulting services.
